Molyneux Press/Lucozade Case Study

Antalis aids Molyneux Press to provide eye-catching graphics displayed in Westfield Stratford City for Lucozade’s New Zero Sugar campaign.

Molyneux Press, the lithographic, digital and large format printers based in Dartford, Kent, were approached to produce graphics for Lucozade’s latest campaign that would be unveiled in June 2016 at the East London shopping centre, the largest urban shopping and leisure destination of its kind in Europe.

The required graphics included a hanging display and floor graphic for Lucozade’s New Zero Sugar campaign. Due to the location of these graphics experiencing heavy footfall from Westfield visitors, it was important that both items met all health and safety standards. As such, the floor graphic had to be able to be removed within one week without damaging or leaving any residue on the existing floor, and the hanging graphic had to be light but remain static.

The flooring also had to be hard-wearing as it would need to accommodate the exciting Cyr Wheel performances that were to take place throughout the week, as well as the wear and tear of the general public.

Despite these challenges, the Antalis team were able to draw on their experience and recommend the best products that would deliver visual impact, yet also meet the critical health and safety parameters. For the floor, Antalis specified a combination of Drytac FloorTac™ white monomeric PVC film with a removable, pressure-sensitive grey acrylic adhesive, laminated with Drytac Interlam™ Pro Emerytex® matte pebble-textured finish with an anti-slip rating.

A section of the flooring was produced ahead of the event for Cyr Wheel team to test to ensure it would withstand the heavy use throughout the week, whilst retaining its striking finish.  It surpassed the test and the Cyr Wheel team were extremely happy with the material.

KAPA® mount lightweight foam board, a high quality board with aluminium reinforced liners, was recommended for the hanging graphic. As a bespoke item, this was cut to the exact specifications required by Molyneux Press and printed on their own HP latex wide format printer and then laminated.

Overall, Antalis’ product range and technical expertise supported Molyneux Press in delivering an impressive visual display that enabled Lucozade to distribute 100,000 drink samples to the public throughout the week.

Molyneux Press’ Director, Peter Bond, commented: “We have worked with Antalis for 12 years and yet again they were really helpful. Antalis provided us with numerous options and worked with us to determine what solution would be best for our client. It was truly a faultless service.”
