Another interesting product that really caught my eye was the i-mark automatic digital die cutter from Graphtec, the first product of its type on the market I believe !
This piece of kit allows contour cutting without an operator on adhesive sheets and digital prints on cardboard, silk-screen prints and print shop materials in only 30/40 seconds. Depending on the thickness and rigidity of the sheets, the machine may insert from 40 up to 120 sheets.
Here is the really cool bit for me; proper alignment is achieved by crop mark reading for every sheet; a camera equipped with i-mark technology performs crop mark reading adjustments in a few tenths of a second.
Sheet size that can be used ranges from the A4 format up to 350mm wide and the machine successfully cuts even cardboard with grammage ranging from 200gsm to 350gsm.
