Tutor Profile

Jan Edgecombe, from Revolution Digital, has nearly 10 years experience installing Solvent and Aqueous large format printers with most of the popular proofing and production rip softwares. His packaging prototyping customers include Chesapeake, International Greetings, Unilever, Cadbury, GSK and Benson box. So when it comes to achieving accurate repeatable colour, he has the experience to help you get the same.

  • Setting up Adobe applications for print and prepress standards.
  • Quick overview of proofing & press standards.
  • Measuring colour with X-rite Pantone.

  • Practical session
  • Calibrating Monitors with X-rite Pantone and software.
  • Setting monitors up for different lighting and print requirements.
  • Soft proofing and Fogra print proofing.

  • Creating media profiles for RGB Printers with Xrite i1Profiler
  • Creating media profiles for CMYK Printers with Xrite i1Profiler

  • Practical session
  • Using X-rite Pantone to check your printer’s output and maintaining your printer’s colour stability.
